I’m overwhelmed.

Going out with D makes me happy, and makes me want to be with him in some way that is different from other guys. And he makes me think of him a lot, I can’t wait to see him again, and just be with him.

And when I still don’t know that much about him, it makes me happy, yet worried all the time… I don’t exactly have to know his entire life history or anything… but I keep thinking about what other girls he might be dating at that time and such. I don’t know if it makes me sound stalkerish or what…

What's good?

Today I went out with a guy who's younger than me. By 1 year.

And the surprising thing is, I had fun. Lots of fun actually.

Let's see.. the difference between this date and other dates I've been on.

(1) Today's date didn't try to impress me with how clever he is / how stupid the general population is / how stupid everything is. Unlike my previous dates, he has no angst at all. What he has is a lot of humour. Which is a good thing.

(2) There was no weirdness in silence. Well, maybe there is, for a while, cause we just met anyway. But it wasn't an awkward silence. (Although today's date was a little restless at times. haha. but that didn't bother me)

(3) Today's date tried to at least plan ahead by asking beforehand what I wanted to do, and even asked others where was a good place to go. For that I'm impressed. At least I didn't have to walk around and go 'Oh I'm fine with Japanese'

(4) Instead of the usual sit at cafe and chat / chat over dinner / movie and a dinner / dinner and club date, today's date brought me to the arcade. I would have snorted at that a couple of months ago. But it turned out to be a great idea, and I had fun.

So maybe good isn't about being different or unconventional. It's about having fun. And even though my date's younger than me, I find him even more fun to hang out with than older / same age guys. And more mature? It's too early to judge. But definitely more fun to hang out with.
