Sin City

Like to share these lyrics. Meredith Brooks ‘Sin City’. You may remember Meredith as the singer of ‘Bitch’ (Love that song!). I find the lyrics very deep. Which is also another word for I don’t have a clue what it means lol. But think about it. It’s interesting.

In this town of pain
You could be the lucky one
Fate turns on a dime
The only thing that will change
Are the lights when they get brighter
They replace the sun

Out the door, you get burned
And there is no way back in
You've got nothing
Snake eyes, the house always wins

[Chorus:]
A drowning man does not die silently
You can feel the final warning
And the black money follows
Through the veins of the shallow
Change the name to protect the guilty
You'll never leave Sin City
Where you are king

In this room of shame
You could sink this town
And breathe another day
The mirror faces you
You cannot look away
Blood is on your hand
The streets will be the same
Under your feet like quicksand
Touch the face where a kiss of hope can last

[Chorus]
Ooohhh where you are king ooohhh

A drowning man does not die silently
You can feel the final warning
And the black money follows
Through the veins of the shallow
Change the name to protect the guilty
You'll never leave Sin City

Just one kiss from the shadow
Will be the touch of an angel
Just one kiss is all that you need
If you never leave Sin City
You never leave Sin City
You never leave Sin City
Where you are king

Just one kiss ohhhh-oh-oh-oh
Where you are king [repeat]

What's really on my mind

I guess my greatest fear right now is one of uncertainty. I pointed out in my other blog that I'm in like with this man who's 20 years older than me. 20 years.
That isn't the biggest issue yet. He's also married with a daughter about 5 years younger than me. I can find no other word to say it except that this is a ridiculously crazy situation I'm in. I'll even go so far as to say we have chemistry. Words that sounded so cheesy in the past make sense right now.
And the scary thing is that it's not even the typical 'he's so goodlooking/rich etc' kind of like I have for him. I just like him. No exact reason for it. It's scary because I've never been like that before. Usually I'll like a guy for his looks and after I get tired of this look, the crush will wear off. But how can a like based on nonexistent conditions wear off? I try to find the thing that I like about him and try to talk sense to myself, but what I like about him is too, well, abstract.

I am so frustrated. I know I sound stupid as well.

I'm so embarressed that I put it up. lol. But this is a semi private blog.

Anyway, I am looking for the author of this incredibly funny blog called 'ba kwa' or something. I just happened to drop in and found him very funny. But can't find a way to contact this person. Well, hope this post will do something to that effect :)

This is something incredibly cheesy I unearthed from a really ancient writing book of mine.
Just wanted to share :)

If you are going to make me fall in love with you
then don't allow me to fall right out of it.
You know I've always been fickle.
Try to hold me, keep me in you.

Well. This is my first post at this new blog. Must say I'm very excited. Of course, my I'd still be doing work at my old blog, but here is a blog that none of my friends know is existent, and one where I can really be myself.
